Respectful Communication
Participants must communicate respectfully with:
- Other participants
- Facilitators
- Volunteers
- Organizers
- Community partners
- Venue representatives
Disagreement is permitted; threats, abusive language, harassment, intimidation and personal attacks are not acceptable.
Privacy of Other Participants
Participants must respect the privacy of others and must not:
- Publish another person's personal information without permission
- Share private online meeting links
- Record a session without authorization
- Photograph another participant without permission
- Distribute private messages or application information
- Use participant information for unrelated marketing or solicitation
Attendance and Communication
Participants should make reasonable efforts to attend confirmed sessions on time.
A participant who cannot attend should inform the organization when reasonably possible so we can reassign the space to another applicant.
Online Session Conduct
During live online activities, participants must not:
- Intentionally disrupt the session
- Share harmful or inappropriate material
- Use abusive or discriminatory language
- Impersonate another person
- Share unauthorized advertisements
- Record others without permission
- Provide private session access to unauthorized people
In-Person Conduct
Participants must follow reasonable venue, safety and activity instructions.
Participants must not bring illegal substances, weapons or dangerous items into organizational activities.
Organizational Response
Depending on the circumstances, the organization may:
- Provide a reminder
- Issue a warning
- Pause participation
- Remove a participant from a session
- End program participation
- Restrict future participation
- Contact emergency services or appropriate authorities when necessary
